Awful example of what happens to rotating drs when permanent staff don't support them/ are actively cruel. Non-rotating health workers: please challenge toxic behaviour in your departments. Culture is everyone's responsibility. NB OP overwhelmed by response so username removed.

Heartbreaking. A trial for alleged rape cannot proceed because the trial is “a significant and unacceptable risk” to the life of the woman. Our laws must be reformed so that survivors of assault can find justice, without finding themselves on trial.

Every time a journalist tells us we should lay off Dutton because he's really an ok guy, we write to our refugee clients to remind them that his words and actions towards them did not actually harm them at all. They are always grateful for the clarification.

As a psych I've had many ‘tough’ kids from remote communities have to come to the “the big smoke” for court, grab my hand in fear when we had to cross the road. Moments like this that take my breath away. It's easy to judge behaviour & not remember that these are just kids
