Trying to stay off social media but are we just going to skip over outright Russian interference in the election and how it wasn't even cyber.

So are we better off after 4 years? 1) The Biden 2023 Cyber Strategy clarified that defend forward, not PE is the dominant "vision" 2) Regulations matter, and we need more like cyber incident reporting 3) Ukraine's cyberspace is safe and secure, partially thanks to US support
Finding it kinda funny that I am literally asked more about Beyonce and Trump rather than about Trump's cyber legacy, which was a disaster and likely to lead to more partisanship in cyber security if elected again https://t.co/CyvOkMDO53

When a K-pop star cries, the stock market mirrors the emotion as investors demand accountability.

🚨My latest paper was just published at Business & Politics! I explore the often overlooked ripple effects of state-sponsored cyber attacks on the stock market dynamics of cybersecurity defense contractors. Grateful to colleagues and reviewers for comments! Off to celebrate!🥳🥳

There are indeed borders in cyberspace, domestic law matters a great deal. Its wild that the DoS would make such a claim.
In cyberspace, there are no borders, and risks federate across all our digital networks. The 🇺🇸 will continue to equip our global partners with the capacity they need to detect, respond to, and recover from threats in cyberspace, which makes the world a safer place for everyone.

“Haiti has become an existential threat to our sovereignty, security, and well-being.” Nativism is an ideology for drama queens.
@AlexNowrasteh He is not a hero, he is just naive. There's a reason why the Dominican Republic is now deporting 10,000 Haitians a week. Haiti has become an existential threat to our sovereignty, security and well-being. We have a well documented history with them. https://t.co/UR9xCCwW5g

The frauds selling snake oil like this in cyber and IO keep me up at night
@drbvaler There's a pernicious influence that nobody wants to end a tour without accomplishment that keeps a lot of frauds ongoing. IO can work - it just requires a ton of resources and smarter people than are currently involved.

Wonderful article highlighting the endogenous nature of IO. "Because their goal is to accelerate trends that are already advancing, there is no definitive way for them to know just how much their interventions contributed to driving those trends."

So the Solarium Strategy was called layered cyber deterrence. The Biden Strategy is integrated deterrence. The main focus is on target hardening and CI, so how is this a shift away from deterrence again?
Countries like the United Kingdom, Japan, and Canada are adopting the U.S.'s proactive cyber strategy to anticipate and mitigate vulnerabilities, reflecting a shift away from deterrence. https://t.co/L5bOMjuWh5

Love this report and its a great example that the think tank community is vastly different from the academic community. The 4th point about Military Balance and the failures of these sorts of pubs is key. https://t.co/L3sAvKK6lN

If we are already at "escalation" with the targeted killings, what are people going to call a limited ground invasion? Escalating the escalation? Terms have meaning

The Israeli government did not tamper with the Hezbollah devices that exploded, defense and intelligence officials say. It manufactured them as part of an elaborate ruse.
