People with two accounts, personal & professional ones, will never get to experience a bizarre feed in which a tweet discussing excited-state aromaticity is immediately followed by a tweet discussing Eviolite Duraludon. This is the Way, this is my way 😁.

For the first time and as a single-time exception, I love Mondays. My first paper as a solo author is now accepted! 🥳

At least I had a good time with some friends! So, despite the dissapointment, it was still worth coming 🫡.

I was not even sure if I should post today. But it is important to accept that, sometimes, you just underperform for whatever reason. And I know which was mine today, and I'll try to overcome it in the future. I made day 2 once, I'll fight again for it in 2026.

Finished 4-4 at the VGC Utrecht Special Event. My worst tournament so far, not in terms of result but of feelings. Came unprepared due to mental issues I want to work on, and this cost me a lot. There was not a single round that I felt comfortable.

OK, I have reached my peak in VGC. Someone please explain how did @CybertronVGC get to feature my Stockholm Rayquaza team on his channel because my brain has collapsed trying to process the information. Y'all go to give a like to the video RIGHT NOW! 😅.

Finished 4-4 (141 of 344 players) at the VGC Stockholm Regional Championship, and finally managed to get some real FUN in this regulation with Rayquaza! Pity that I could not convert a promising 4-2 into points but I was expecting a 0-8, so very happy with this result anyway 😅

Yes, Science! (insert Breaking Bad reference). Excited-state configuration of nitroarenes enables oxidative cleavage of aromatics over alkenes | Science
science.org
The ozonolytic deconstruction of aromatics remains a challenge in organic chemistry. Ozone preferentially reacts with alkenes over arenes, meaning that once the initial aromatic cleavage occurs, the...

I am thrilled to announce that version 3.8 of the open-source Multiwfn program, developed by Dr. Tian Lu, will implement the calculation of both HOMAc (ground state) and HOMER (excited state) aromaticity indices. You can find all the information in

Four years behind schedule, but I finally got the chance to give a talk at *that* room at UAM last tuesday, presenting aromaticity and HOMER to the world. Thanks to @Fernandastico for the invitation!

I'm gonna try another crazy idea for the next Grand Challenge and regulation H will be done afterwards, which means this team is now available for anyone to try! Paste here and rental in the image (yes the teambox is called MakeItRain 😅)

Now the important question, does anyone want the rental to try the team? 😅.

Will it happen again? Who knows, maybe no, maybe (and hopefully!) yes, but for sure I will remember this past weekend for a veeery long time. Especially thanks to the amazing people I can meet in this community, sometimes they feel like lifelong friends.

Feels amazing to make such a nice achievement with I team I built based on a crazy idea I had which I then polished with the best help from @DanielLlan33410 (Overqwil is so good and he was right all the time)

With a final run of 7-4, I ended 86th (of 670) at the Stuttgart VGC Regional Championship!.Being the best Overqwil user. And the best Politoed user. And the second-best Weezing-Galar user (the best with Misty Surge, and with an unreal winrate of 69%)
