I will need to read this paper a few more times, but it is not only spectacular, it is loaded with secrets regarding in vivo editing. Thanks a lot!

Led by @sharan_janjuha with @AcuitasTx @pardi_lab, our Nat Biomed Eng paper is out 🧬 We use in situ sequencing to read base & prime editing directly in tissues - from mouse brain (AAV) to macaque liver (RNA–LNP)-mapping lobules & redosing. Open access: https://t.co/uhohboUWnb

Right now is the best chance the scientific community has ever had to end the artificial scarcity of academic journals. Check out my new op-ed urging @NIH @NIHDirector_Jay to disallow taxpayer dollars towards journal publication fees — something both publishers and scientists

While journal publishing has always been deeply problematic, hurting both the pace and trajectory of science, something is happening in this moment that is finally causing the system to crumble under its own weight and cost. 1/

When we started thinking of CRISPR-dependent base editing as a potential therapeutic strategy to correct a mutation causing an ultra-rare monogenic disorder we did not quite know where to start!! (1/3) https://t.co/ePQGI6XBMa
