turns out Texas admin likes money and eyeballs on the program, who could have guessed. I don't see why this is surprising, when they were playing 9 Big 12 games, they played Notre Dame, 2019 LSU and Bama. You can criticize them for a lot, but they don't run from the lights.
Texas has games against Ohio State (2026), Michigan (2027) and Notre Dame (2028, 2029) on the books. But with the SEC schedule expanding to nine games, will the Longhorns shy away from these tougher yet marquee non-conference games in the future? Texas AD Chris Del Conte says no.

New England College -146.5 seems like a lock to me, no way OSU wins by 147. nobody beats the New England College Pilgrims (not to be confused with the University of New England Nor'Easters) by 147. (NEC is a new program who has yet to play an official game)

this is a long winded way of saying that heavyweight boxing in 2025 is absolutely cooked and watching fights from the 90s, these guys had an "it" factor that i only see in Usyk today.
in most sports, i think the players of today are better than the players of 30 years ago. except boxing. i feel like the mots talented young fighters began going into MMA instead of boxing around ~2000, but its especially prominent now (even though the money is way worse).
