If a student is having trouble with an assignment, the goal isn't to get through the assignment. The goal is to improve the skill that is giving them difficulty with the assignment. #LeadInclusion #TeacherTwitter #UDL #InclusiveEd #EdLeaders

"Teachers must be able to defend the grades they assign based upon a specified purpose and be prepared to offer evidence aligned with that purpose to support their grading decisions." Thomas R. Guskey and Susan M. Brookhart on their new book: https://t.co/pLnUClmDig #EWopinion

Grading experts, such as Thomas Guskey & Susan Brookhart, strongly recommend creating grades with 1 primary purpose: to communicate student learning. A big step in this transformation is clearly separating learning from behavior in the classroom.

It drives me INSANE to see headlines that say otherwise. Kids WILL BE returning to school in the fall - it’s just that some of them will be returning from the safety of their homes.

It's time to go back to the 1970s, when there were no private coaches, no fitness centers, no glass backboards. Players practiced on the outside courts, in their backyard, in the garage, in their room, in the street. If you want to succeed, find a way.

When the storm rages around us, we can find comfort knowing that we are not alone. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27).  https://t.co/I3UWosTI7f

There is a story in the Bible about some men in a boat who were caught in the midst of a big storm. They are afraid for their lives. All hope seems lost.
