—vulnerable in situations like this. I could say a lot more but it’s frustrating the NOAA funding was cut and now people who had no matter in the decision are being affected the most.

Don’t even get me started on the Texas freeze a couple years ago. I was stuck at work for days with no power + barely any food. Some of my clients were immobile too which is another thing bc ppl who need a lot of assistance such as kids, disabled, and the elderly are the most—.

Like Hurricane Beryl was so bad. I was out of power, work, hot water, etc for days along with thousands of other ppl that were affected by it and other hurricanes throughout hurricane season. Natural disaster trauma is very real.
