Great to see the pallidirostris field ID confirmed by the poop/DNA sample I collected and sent to @docmartin2mc - freshly deposited when I took the photo and collected later! @birdinglothian
Some Festive DNA... The Steppe Grey Shrike from Dunbar, Sep 24, did a confirmed pallidirostris poop. Eastern Stonechat from St Kilda, Sep 2024, also pooped, confirmed Siberian maurus. @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

Recent DNA lab results include: Hume's Warbler, Spurn, Nov 24, confirmed as nominate humei. 'Eastern Stonechat', Icklesham, Nov 24, was Siberian maurus. and both Black-faced Buntings - Donna Nook and North Ron, were both just that.

Got suspended earlier for this tweet from over a week ago. "Inciting violence", indeed. Yeah, lads, there's a load of us with a hundred missiles and the capability of sending someone to the moon just waiting for an opportunity. Thick fucks

DNA analysis of poop sample from 'Eastern' Stonechat from Holy Island, Oct 24, confirmed it was a Siberian Stonechat S. maurus, which tbh is what it looked like @BirdGuides @RareBirdAlertUK

Shrike DNA. North Ron Brown Shrike, Oct 2024 = reassuringly genetic Brown Bempton and Gillingham 'Izzy' Shrikes, Oct 2024: genetically in a clade containing both Daurian and Turkestan (and Red-backed) Shrikes so we can't ID. @DEBALMER @01000011S @RareBirdAlertUK @BirdGuides
