I got a percocet. My script isn’t ready (thanks insurance). I cannot have another night like I did last night. Has anyone else experienced this or something similar & could give me some suggestions?

@JonClar58684712 Metaphors for cancer other than war/battle metaphors: 👉 Sitting in a dumpsterfire 👉 Being in a war, but you’re not a soldier — you’re a terrified cat on the battlefield who doesn’t understand a goddam thing happening 👉 Getting attacked by a bear

I have cancer. Big deal. It’s been 5 years. There are people who are a lot worse off than me doing way more than me. So F.U. to the people who won’t work with me or consider me for opportunities because of their own hang ups with it.

Planning for a future after cancer made it uncertain that you’d *even* have a future is a weird limbo. 🤍 sending love to my cancer friends who feel this too.

Some days I feel like I’m actively dying and others like I’m going to live forever.

ALL OF THIS!!! 👇🏽👇🏽 #cancer
Your cancer experience is valid no matter how it looks… because it’s YOURS. Don’t allow others to make your experience feel less than (and don’t do it to yourself). Cancer is cancer.

Many times what we express on the outside doesn’t match up to what we are screaming on the inside. If all you did today was survive - that’s enough. You are enough. 🫂🤍

A big part of Cancer Mental Health Awareness Month is talking about our experiences as patients. Talking about cancer can also be frustrating when dealing with well-intended people who say generic things. Let’s change that this month. #thankscancer #freecember #mentalhealth

#FreeCember thank you @TheCancerSutra for this campaign. Talking is free and supporting a loved one during Cancer Mental Health Awareness Month is free. Let’s raise awareness abt the need to acknowledge the impact cancer has on patients, caregivers, & families’ mental health

XFL/USFL merger is finalized & approved. XFL will retain 4 teams: Arlington Renegades DC Defenders San Antonio Brahmas St Louis BattleHawks USFL will retain 4 teams: Birmingham Stallions Houston Gamblers Memphis Showboats Michigan Panthers Not what we had hoped & expected.

Incurable cancer. Think you can handle the weight of the badge? It comes with great responsibility, living with grace, being a role model for hope and optimism and creating a lasting legacy. It takes daily grind, daily guts and daily resolve like no other challenge you've ever

Our wellness is never based on just one part of our lives - it is a combination of these things which sets us up for long term success: environmental, emotional, financial, social, spiritual, occupational, physical, and intellectual.

Wellness is the act of practicing healthy habits on a daily basis to attain better physical and mental health outcomes, so that instead of just surviving, you're thriving.

Anger is a "secondary emotion" - it is an outward expression (a physical reaction) to a feeling or group of feelings. Think about the last time that you got angry - what was the circumstances, what were the initial feeling or feelings attached to it?

We all talk about being healthy and "well" but when it comes down to it - how often do we make excuses, not follow through or slip back into less than favorable habits that sabotage our desire for health and wellness?

A psychological need revolves around mental & emotional wellbeing. While we can identify physical needs like shelter, food, or clothing, psychological needs are more elusive often hidden beneath the surface. They're pivotal in our personal growth, adaptation & life satisfaction.

I love having real people in my life who just "get me". I hope that you have people like that in your life too.
