A two minute silence was observed in Barclay Square DMRC during a short service of Remembrance this week for patients & staff. The service is held each year at DMRC before Remembrance Sunday . The service was conducted by the Padre Rev James McWhirter. @UKStratCom @DMS_MilMed

The DMRC wishes to thank Kerrie Heath, Emma Chapman, Nikki Dunstan,their team & DMRC Ben Fund for organising the DMRC Fireworks 2023. Patients, staff & their families were treated to an excellent display, along with ESS BBQ, Blatchfords games, marshmallow pit & sparkler station

A fun day of pumpkin carving for staff & patients yesterday @dms_dmrc. A joint venture between @HighGroundBoss & DMRC Benevolent Fund saw 6 workshops held over the course of the day. For patients, it was also an opportunity to work on upper limb function & manual dexterity 🎃

Captain Siobhan Davis ARRC, DMRC’s Infection Prevention & Control Specialist Nurse has run an Infection Prevention Week at the DMRC, to help maintain awareness and importance of infection prevention for both patients & staff as we enter the ‘flu’ season!

The 21st Sept marked the handover of Command of the DMRC, from Gp Capt Christopher Rowley to Gp Capt Claire Myhill KHDS. Gp Capt Myhill thanked Gp Capt Rowley for his time & support during the handover, but most importantly for all has done for the Unit over the last 3 years.

The DMRC would like to acknowledge the remarkable achievement of its Research Physio Robyn Cassidy, who was the first lady & third overall in the highly competitive International Ultra Endurance ‘Dragon’s Back’ mountain race. Robyn was greeted by family & friends at the finish.

Well done to Kerrie Heath & all her helpers who delivered a fantastic Unit Families Day at the DMRC. The event was held to thank all Unit personnel & their families for their efforts over the year. Included in the many stands & entertainments were petting zoo,arts & crafts.
