One thing that sticks out to travelers, is how most foreign countries I have visited , outside the US/Canada/EU, have ZERO nursing facilities or “old folks home”….the concept of dying alone just doesn’t register.
@FrankieVtotheD Most adult children pay very little attention. It is horrifying how aging parents are ignored. Sometimes one will pick up the slack and it then dominates their life. We treat the elderly very poorly in this country.
