I don't post much, but today I have a good reason. There is $2.8 million dollars of school lunch debt in Utah. Just reading that makes me angry. So I decided to do something about it. Here's a receipt for $835.00 of my own money. I paid off Bluffdale Elementary's lunch debt.

I feel the First Proof results are a bit downplayed ... the progress has been astounding and we shouldn't feel numb to it. 6 months ago it was controversial to claim that GPT-5 could prove new interesting mathematics, and the latter was a matter of 20 minutes to check. 6 months
Claim: gpt-5-pro can prove new interesting mathematics. Proof: I took a convex optimization paper with a clean open problem in it and asked gpt-5-pro to work on it. It proved a better bound than what is in the paper, and I checked the proof it's correct. Details below.

Is it possible for anything to get traction on this site? Or is a blue checkmark required now? I’d like to post about how I started a nonprofit and in one year we raised $100,000 AND passed a law creating real systemic change. But I have feeling all that content will be buried.

Tomorrow, I get to clear the ENTIRE city of Lehi’s lunch debt. All thanks to one anonymous donor giving $50,000. Unbelievable the generosity I’ve been able to see since starting my foundation. That’s going to save 2,207 kids from collections letters. I’m so relieved.

I run the Utah Lunch Debt Relief Foundation. Thank you to Governor Cox for taking action on this issue. That said, we had $1.3 million in debt last year and $2.8 million this year. We need a permanent legislative solution to the problem so we don't have to do this every year.

Delivered a check yesterday to the Granite Education Foundation to pay off South Kearns Elementary School's $4,280 lunch debt. That's 1,700 meals worth. We've paid off three schools in our first month of operating. I'm proud of that. But it's not close to enough.
