@G_R_M_M_S_K Ok back home from #zooparty (and what a great party it was), so it's Tempest video time. Have your hand ready at the volume dial - the sound gets louder towards the end once I start moving the #elektrosmok around. Fun and totally unexpected sound esp. with the logo :)

Alkemi4 + simppafi at Ars22 Pori last Friday. My hand crafted "image player" did not crash during the 45mins gig. (only halted for 1 second at some point, but recovered :D) #threejs

last week, as part of the new geometry/deformation system for Notch I implemented voronoi fracture (in GPU compute). it's quite fast! it was kindof interesting to do so here's how it works..

visibility buffer for 2000 instances of 750k tri mesh (@3dscanstore) (total 1.5b tris) in @notchvfx . brute force, no lod. hw rasterisation: 900ms, not realtime. compute-based raytrace: 20ms, realtime. wow, scalable rendering method is scalable

This is a (new?) type of noise that IS an SDF itself - it can be raymarched exactly without artifacts or small step sizes. It uses a grid of spheres of random sizes. You can combine different octaves with (smooth)minimum so FBM structures remain an SDF https://t.co/75HS6LLLSy
