PEDOT:PSS for neural stimulation might be more stable and safe than you think. Here is the latest on how PEDOT:PSS prevents electrode corrosion and increases cell viability. Essential for long-term stable neural interfaces. @neurophoton @PasJolien.

This was great. Postdoc communities are very important and it’s super valuable if they’re supported by (former) faculty members.
Today, we had @mikhtikh and @CottsBen visit Stanford again (virtually) to tell the postdoc community at GLAM about their experience transitioning from postdoc to faculty member. The postdoc community really enjoyed the Q&A and greatly appreciated taking time for us!Thank you!

Transparent microelectrodes!.Made of PEDOT:PSS with an innovative fabrication scheme and used to combine electrical recording of neurons with 2-photon imaging in vivo. @neurophoton @AttilaKaszas2 @PasJolien.
Hey Gerwin @dijk_gerwin the metal is causing issues in our 2P imaging of the brain, can we make these probes transparent? Here's his clever fab idea that came out of that ask. @MINES_StEtienne @CampusCharpak @neurotechcenter

Important aspect of this work is the microfabrication of two seperate metallic layers. Such a multiple layers approach enables crossing of interconnects in different layers. An idea we got from a journal club where we discussed the work of @dg80_italy.

Happy to share our latest electroporation device! A pair of stimulation electrodes with integrated sensing electrodes to assess cell barrier properties. PEDOT:PSS greatly increases the sensitivity of such a system to provide better feedback. @neurophoton.
