They didn’t show up. But here’s what we had to say. Yesterday,19 North East MPs were invited to hear from disabled people about what PIP cuts really mean for our lives. None attended. So we’re sharing part of that conversation publicly: because disabled people deserve to be heard.
THE CHAIRS WERE EMPTY. THE ISSUE REMAINS. "When MPs choose empty chairs over constituents, we choose persistence" - Difference North East.Today, 18 North East MPs missed a crucial chance to hear from disabled constituents about welfare cuts.

These MPs skipped our meeting and have so far refuse to oppose PIP cuts. What their absence means:. ✖ No answers about £250M in cuts.✖ No commitment to protect vulnerable people.✖ No dialogue with those most affected.
