At Cleveland’s Hate Crime Workshop, Difference North East shared why Disabled voices must be at the centre of local hate crime strategy. Too many incidents go unreported, systems are hard to use, awareness is low, and victims are not always believed.

The Universal Credit Bill passed. Only 9 North East MPs voted to protect disabled people. 20 voted for cuts. We fought. We won changes. But it’s not enough. Now we rest and resist! Tag your MP if they didn’t vote with us. Ask them why. https://t.co/fAZegIpuqx
