A great loss, though what a life! A Woman of Substance is one of my favourite novels of all time. BTB completely redefined the role of the heroine. Her novels were both genre-busting and unputdownable. RIP.
The British-born author Barbara Taylor died at her home in New York on 24th November following a short illness, HarperCollins has said.
