Hopefully that bibliography/footnote section will spawn a thousand PhD theses :-)) or inspire other writers. Hint to publishers to promote to University departments. @BloomsburyIndia.

Digital public infrastructure is a vital topic for emerging economies. Balancing public and private investment in infrastructure and standards is a fraught topic but important to engage. Developed nations have some lessons to learn from India's work here. @DasShaktikanta @RBI.

#AppleWatch #Fail Apple watch face just came unglued during travel in India. Likely battery expanded and pushed up. Series 6 now out of extended warranty options limited to DIY repair (replace battery). Apple has some QA work to do to survive summer in India. Recall Anyone? ☹️

Well, here's a perfect masterclass in security from Ryan on the foundations related to keys, credentials and authentication failures which continue to be the soft underbelly for most infrastructure.
It feels like when it comes to key and credential management, we are all stuck in a Groundhog Day loop, repeatedly facing the same compromises over and over.

Good recap of the current dynamics of cyberinsurance worth a read. Boards seek to cover risks related to breaches/attacks and insurance companies carve out greater exclusions for what will be the largest attack vector (nation state attackers).

The book I’ve been waiting for…also…listen to the Empire Podcast with Anita and William. It’s a rollicking ride across the centuries, humanizing dry history with memorable characters, new scholarship and brilliant storytelling.
🚨 New episode 🚨. The Buddha & The Golden Road. India was the forgotten heart of the ancient world. For a millennium and a half, from about 250 BC to 1200 AD, India was a confident exporter of its diverse civilisation, creating around it a vast empire of ideas, an ‘Indosphere’.

Phishing is more pernicious than you think - don’t try to “train your way around it”. Really - any security strategy that requires end users to make subtle judgements about incoming messages is doomed to fail. Deploy phishing resistant MFA - no excuses now.
Great to hear Caitlin Clarke from the White House National Security Council highlight just how essential it is to have *phishing-resistant* #authentication - not legacy SMS OTPs and the like - to improve the state of #cybersecurity #IDPolicyForum.

Looks like LinkedIn turned on this “feature” a year ago. If you didn’t have MFA on, this message was for you. These kinds of features and account recovery flows remain the soft underbelly for securing logins.
First of all, why are @LinkedIn sending legit emails that read like scam emails ("Prevent anybody else from account"). Secondly, how would changing my LinkedIn PW help when this was an attempt to use a one-time link?
