And we’re having a launch! If you want to come and say hello, it’s at Readings Kids in Carlton (Melb) on Sat 4th May at 2pm. I’ll be there with Bernadette and hopefully some pancakes! 🥞

But hey, I have a new book! It’s called Saturday is Pancake Day and it’s about food, family, creativity and chaos. And the importance of me-time. Would appreciate it if you check it out! For more regular and current updates, follow me on IG: https://t.co/SYiYJxamEd

Apologies for the lack of posts on here - tbh, I don’t use X much if at all because it seems like such a raging dumpster fire most of the time. Plus, I’m a toddler dad with little spare time and all encompassing social-media is not my forte right now 🤷🏻‍♂️

And why is AI coming for all the creative jobs, the ones that are the most human and subjective and give us so much joy? How about the boring jobs?

The process, the thinking involved, taking my time with the story, the characters, all of that detail. I would lose all of that experience. It’s the same for art. I love making it. Why would I want to outsource that to AI? All the joy would be gone from the process.

If I could get AI to read all the books on my TBR shelf and give me a 30 sec rundown on everything that happens in each one, including all spoilers and the ending, I really, really wouldn’t. Sure it would save me months, even years but the thing is…I actually enjoy reading.
