David is kind of right. The old Fairness Doctrine did require radio stations to provide balanced coverage of controversial issues, but it was abolished in 1987 because it chilled free speech.

There is only one political party that passed legislation in Texas and Florida that attempted to force private companies to carry the voices of people the private companies didn’t like and fortunately for the sake of free markets the Supreme Court stopped it.
I won’t be lectured on free speech by a political party that banned the sitting President of the United States on social media platforms.
