One of the greatest joys of bootstrapping is punching way above your weight. Building stuff that most assume was built by a team of hundreds. Shipping insanely fast. Competing directly against giant incumbents. Proving the naysayers wrong.

tfw you're emailing with an account rep and he starts bolding a bunch of phrases and drops a "you're absolutely right" 😭.

At its best, marketing is a transfer of enthusiasm. When you're truly pumped about what you're doing, when you're truly driven by the vision, when you absolutely must make something that you need and want, your enthusiasm leaves a mark. It's a brand. Not the noun, but the verb.

Whoa. DeepWiki in Windsurf is pretty sweet. This is going to make onboarding our new developer (we're hiring!) even smoother. 🧈

To my Laravel & Rails friends:. ICYMI, I'm hiring a full-stack developer to join SavvyCal. We use Elixir/Phoenix, but we're open to experienced folks coming from other modern frameworks who are jazzed about learning Elixir (it's a lovely stack, just ask @ThePrimeagen!)

I predict most of this repo cruft will wither away once context windows get bigger and LLMs can just infer more effectively using existing conventions in the codebase (rather than having to consult summarized instruction docs).

I've built so many great things without a single rule or mcp. They're not necessary if you know how the code works and you know the apis and you know how to test.

I can't help be share in @dhh's recent enthusiasm and it reminds me of a switch the flipped in my head several years ago. "It's OK to be wholesome, earnest and uncynical. Sarcasm is tired; enthusiasm wired.".

Sorry to rain on the parade, but if you're doing the "In one word, what's the best. " thing with GPT, go try it in a clean account (with no prior history) 😄.

code like this makes me realize that elixir is just so objectively superior. i can match messages, in the function definition, and just match the prefix. this is just such an annoying thing to do normally

A powerful essay! . One caveat I'd add: there's a difference between idolizing "personal freedom" and being unable to have children (a reality many face, due to myriad circumstances). For the latter, you are not doomed! The Christian worldview has much to say on this ♥️.
