A while back SpaceX said they wouldn’t do zero boiloff for HLS ship and it was really stupid and everyone got mad. Hope they change their mind because hydrolox ZBO is way harder than methalox and Bloarigin seems to be doing it.

But yeah, Artemis really shouldn’t have targeted a lunar landing so soon. I know there’s a political game involved but what happens when nasa fails to meet their timeline goal? It’s also super unsafe to have to prove so much on the first human lunar landing in half a century.

Elephant in the room of course IS HLS and to that I say, well, before the mad push for 2024, NASA predicted 9 years from contract award to landing. Both landers are trending towards this number. I think this lends further credence to the theory

Lunar landing by Artemis 3 was a mistake. This isn’t really related to HLS, it’s just that NASA is forced to do so damn much in only the third flight of the program. In a perfect world, Arty 3 would visit Gateway. Then maybe Arty 4 lands. If Artemis dies, it’ll be because of this
