In addition to numerous White Sandalwood plants, Talkatora Garden is also home to more than a dozen Red Sandalwood plants. While the red one's growth is slower than the white one, it remains to be seen how they fare in the long run

The dashboard system that added 1520% profit to my agencies. Most profit leaks happen because agencies don’t measure the right numbers. Dashboards → weekly reviews → data-backed decisions. When everyone sees the same truth, profit scales fast.

Saw a woman cutting tall grasses by Yamuna (most likely Typha elephantina). Q: What grass are you cutting? A: We call it Patera. Q: What is its use? A: We dry it and sell it in vegetable market. The dry leaf is used to make bundles of leafy greens like spinach & amaranth etc.

During monsoon, Yamuna floodplains are awash with the pink flowers of Tamarix aphylla (Farash) tree. The flowers are a magnet for bees and insects. Being drought & salt tolerant, it is planted as an agroforestry species, & for reclaming marginal lands. - Seen at Kalindi Aviral.

Came across hundreds of Salix tetrasperma (Indian willow aka Jalvetasa) trees along Yamuna floodplains, being used as living fence around farms. A medium sized tree that grows along waterbodies, it is a valuable herb in Ayurveda.

Aravalli Biodiversity Park, Vasant Kunj is home to quite a few Roheda (Tecomella undulata) trees. Saw one of them blooming. Interestingly, Rohtak in Haryana is said to derive its name from Roheda (Rohitaka in Sanskrit) since it was once the site of a forest of Roheda trees.
