AD begins as dysfunction of synapses. APP is organized into nanodomains controlled by trapping & diffusional collisions. Nanodomains are fine tuned by the APP interactome. @deepak_iisc @iiscbangalore #IAN2024 @IndAcadNeurosci.

Very nice read.
Counting from the perceptron/ integrate-and-fire versions, we’re at least into the fourth generation of models on how biological neurons work. Through these generations, our understanding of the cellular basis of learning/memory also changed dramatically. (1/).
