Oh yeah remembered the Conductor's kid in issue 71! Her design is influenced by Yotsuba from Yotsuba&! and Pan from Dragon Ball. Also wanted to make clear she's a Surge fan with the clothing colors (also @Ziggyfin did the awesome coloring here, I just provided reference).

When I designed the conductor, his wife, and Barry, I went in with the intention of going for a Christmas sort of vibe. The Conductor being a mix of Santa and just a big ol’ Christmas tree. The conductor’s wife being like Mrs. Claus. Barry being like santa’s elves lol.

For this comic, I wanted to capture the clean and vibrant look of the game in the colors. As a neat nod, I even made sure to add the shapes and half-tones associated with this series into the shading. I tested it out with the winter special cover with this in mind!

Got the TMOSTH Rouge outfit! It’s funny how the shadowed parts of the original illustrations were interpreted as either clothing or the tail color. I found out that Rouge actually has a skin colored tail a while back!

@Danny8bit Before all the designing I was also thinking of how I wanted to draw and render out the comic! The story was a bit different back then too! I had intentions of either going super rendered or something more reminiscent of Shin Getter Robo or Gurren Lagann 5/???
