Greetings Elon, @elonmusk I read that you have in interest in primary schooling! Forgive me if you are already an expert in 'phonics' and the difference between impoverished phonics provision and programmes and content-rich bodies of work and practice!

The starting point for phonics, I maintain, is a good understanding of the sheer complexity of the historic English alphabetic code involved in reading and spelling, so see here for a video explanation including comparison with a 'simple' code - Spanish:

There are huge numbers of phonics programmes and phonics resources of one kind or another - but many may simply be 'tinkering around the edges' and not really what is needed for consistent and substantial teaching and learning. Investigate this: ! 😘.
