The @SDAunion has won our case at the Fair Work Commission to force Chemist Warehouse in South Australia to the bargaining table for the very first time. This is the first multi-employer bargaining order in the retail sector and only made possible under Labor’s new laws.

The SDA has long called for stronger police presence in shopping centres. Last week we met with Police Minister @anthonycarbines to push for action. The SDA welcomes the Government’s announcement of a trial operation in centres before Christmas.

18 year olds don't get a discount on their rent or groceries, so why are they paid less for doing the same job? Our message is clear: if you’re of adult age, you deserve an adult wage. https://t.co/imC8HsuxuT? @SDAunion @unionsaustralia

I’m so proud that the SDA in South Australia has secured over $5.5 million for some incredible and hardworking regional South Aussies. Four years ago we commenced legal action, because we wanted wage justice for these workers. And we never gave up. https://t.co/oYROEvwnQJ

The @SDAunion has had a huge win! Forcing McDonald’s in South Australia to the bargaining table for the first time in years. Maccas have been refusing to negotiate with their workers. But new laws mean corporate America can no longer ignore their low paid Aussie workforce.

In 1999 Toys R Us sacked @AmandaRishworth and offered her job back if she signed one of Howard’s AWAs. The @SDAunion stepped in, stood up for Amanda and won. I’m incredibly proud that my great friend Amanda Rishworth will today become Australia’s Workplace Relations Minister

I thank the Prime Minister for appointing me as Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations and am honoured to continue to serve in an Albanese Labor Cabinet. Ministers Burke and Watt have made an outstanding contribution in this role in our first term of Government.
