The problem for Youtube Premium is that all the content on Youtube is geared toward a free platform. Attention grabbing thumbnails, clickbait titles, covering topics that will cause views, not create value, and so on. People accepts this of a free service because it's free.

Non, mais ça tombe bien, la France est une république. Démocratique, certe, mais une république avant tout. Et c'est une bonne chose. L'état de droit prime sur la majorité. Après quand on comcence a mettre un tas de merdes dans la constitution, ça ne marche plus.
Quand l'avis arbitraire de neuf juges non élus prime sur la volonté des représentants librement élus par le peuple, sommes-nous encore vraiment en démocratie ?. La constitution organise l'exercice de la souveraineté, elle ne la censure pas. La seule cour suprême, c'est le peuple.

Looking at the comments many doubt the claim. I doubt it too, but this is absolutely not the problem. Everything else being equal, more lines of code is worse. Braging about this is like bragging about using 10x the fuel in your car. Are you even going somewhere with that?.

How can I short this company?.
I met a founder today who said he writes 10,000 lines of code a day now thanks to AI. This is probably the limit case. He's a hotshot programmer, he knows AI tools very well, and he's talking about a 12 hour day. But he's not naive. This is not 10,000 lines of bug-filled crap.

The only reasons web app are complex these days is beqause you have to wrangle with a framework, a bundler, 3 incompatible js to js compilers, an army of plugins, all of them with jarring bugs you work around using more plugins instead of fixing them, 2MB of dependencies that.
I’ve been coding longer than any of these guys on very similar systems, and have very recently been writing web apps. Web apps are far more complex beasts than the client/server systems we did in the 80s and 90s. This programmer snobbery is low IQ/EQ.

Community driven development has delivered mountains of trash software. I can't wait for it to die so I can get back to use software that works.
@free_twitr @lettuce_isgood Maybe building a community is not the goal. JS framework are very good at bunlding communities, but none of them work properly. You know what works properly? ffmpeg.

The JS ecosystem could be the best software platform ever, if they just focused on solving problem instead of wrapping them into 50 layers of abstraction up to the point the whole thing collapses on itself and everybody moves to yet another stack.
