The purpose of trump sending the national guard places is to provoke a violent response that he can use to justify sending them places retroactively. Silly costumes perfectly counter that strategy. They would not be effective if something very different was going on.

criticizing an argument or ideology on the grounds that it doesn't put forward a view of the future that makes you Feel Happy is an admission that you value your ignorance-derived psychological well-being over your ability to understand the world & it should be mocked
The website is "satirical", but it's violently anti-technology. My problem with all these movements is that they have no proposition about the future. Their view of the future is bleak and dark.

i commend the people in my social circles publicly taking the "no AI bubble" position for publicly making falsifiable predictions so i will reciprocate for fairness: we are *definitely* (90%) in an AI bubble

the problem is the implication that they are within the overton window, which will lead some people to believe they are saying more true things or taking better actions than they actually are
a lot of low integrity people suggesting that you can do business with people you disagree with. this is super low integrity, if i do business with someone, i agree with them, even if i have to do that by changing my beliefs. that’s a sacrifice i’m willing to make for integrity
