Wonderful event showing that G*NS doesn't have to be a four-letter word, organized by the California Rifle and Pistol Association SLO Chapter but also attended by members of the community. I'm grateful for the hospitality of both! #lightoverheat #guncurious

I'm really impressed by the @CitizensSafety "gateway instructor" course, and not just because of their recommended resources. As a new, nontraditional gun owner myself, I know how important having new shooter friendly gun trainers is.

For my upcoming presentation, I am leaning into the paradox of guns, recognizing the lethality of guns AND also how few guns and gun owners are involved in gun deaths. 1 death per 1,840 gun owners and 1 per 8,560 guns. Visualized with help from @ChatGPTapp

On my "G*NS are a four-letter word," Google's Gemini generated the image but badly. @OpenAI ChatGPT finally did the job.

"Four-letter word" is a euphemism for words that are considered profane or offensive. Like G*NS. Seems @AnthropicAI agrees because Claude would not generate an image for me that says "G*NS are a four-letter word"!

I was excited to see serial number 5 of the @Smith_WessonInc Model 1, issue 1, 1st variant revolver from 1857. I am no collector but I can now tell the difference between issues 1, 2, and 3 of the Model 1, and know the relationship between Models 1, 1 1/2, and 2, thanks to Mike.
