Pandemic funding provided long-overdue investments in public health, including expanded laboratory capacity. Unfortunately, those dollars are beginning to recede.
The new issue of Lab Matters, APHL's magazine, is here! "Riding the wave of public health laboratory funding into the future" and more in this issue. Check out the highlights: https://t.co/0kBaHETP6w

DYK? Some public health labs are creating biosurveillance programs to collect data on non-fatal drug overdoses. The information can then be used in substance use prevention and treatment efforts. At the 2023 #APHL Annual Conference, experts explained how: https://t.co/DB0fmGUB45

This was really impressive work during very difficult times. Kudos to my @APHL colleagues and our partners for their vision, collaboration and commitment to #PublicHealth!
As the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency expires, the Exposure Notifications System (ENS) in most US states also shuts down. For the past three years, APHL has played a critical role in the US ENS and we're extremely proud of the work that's been done.
