Really fucking irritating that the best male performance of the year so far, Jonathan Majors in MAGAZINE DREAMS, and no one in critic world is talking about it. I get it, the guy is an abuser but it still annoys the hell out of me how critics have disappeared him like the KGB.

MTV shut down their Music Channels after 40 years of activeness. 📺💔 MTV use to premiere music videos 24/7 but later focused more on reality shows because it made them more money.

So, it's gonna be Disney, Universal, Paramount-Warner Bros, Amazon MGM and Sony. Wonder if Sony sells Columbia to Netflix, if Netflix is even interested in that.

I think there was this idea, which I believed, that the new Superman & Fantastic Four movies over the Summer were going to set off this “new era” in superhero movie-making/franchises. And I realize now that this is probably not the case & it’s kind of a bummer.

Walmart purchased the Monroeville Mall, the filming location of George A. Romero's original DAWN OF THE DEAD, and they plan to demolish the iconic piece of horror history within the next two years:

Imagine this. The mall from the original horror classic Dawn of the Dead, George A. Romero’s masterful takedown of ravenous American consumerism, is being destroyed decades later by Walmart. It’s a...

The most iconic actress of the 1970s. Starred in THREE Best Picture winners of that decade with millions of women trying to emulate her look. With her passing, another part of that amazing decade fades away as well. RIP, Diane Keaton.
Diane Keaton, whose long, versatile career was indelibly highlighted by her Academy Award-winning performance as Woody Allen’s titular love interest in the actor-writer-director’s 1977 romantic comedy “Annie Hall,” has died. She was 79. https://t.co/s5A3frPphI

Conjuring and Demon Slayer both had $70m+ opening weekends but MK2 got moved and it looks like Tron's gonna have a mid-$30m opening. Wonder how big Black Phone's gonna be. Could be big...or not.
@Koutchboom @bob_noss Weapons might be the last movie to break $40m its opening weekend until Nov. Conjuring, Tron, MK2 might have end up disappointing. Don't even think Black Phone 2 is that strong.

Inktober 2025 Day 10: Sweep. Doctor Dusty Dander was a leading Dirt-ologist on the brink of curing a terrible disease, thanks to an irreplaceable soil sample found in the Amazon rainforest. He would be saving thousands of lives… including that of his beloved fiancé, Sandy Soot.

I really liked the pro-trans message in the new KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN but otherwise it's a bland Broadway retelling of Hector Babenco's masterpiece, lacking the docu-style immediacy and exoticness, Diego, newcomer Tonatiuh and Lopez a poor sub for Julia, Hurt and Sonia Braga.

They sold ROOFMAN as a fun romantic crime comedy but Derek Cianfrance, instead, offers up a sad, true-to-life character drama, Tatum and Dunst's authenticity makes it emotionally rewarding. I enjoyed the film immensely but it's a downer so set your expectations accordingly.

Had such a great time watching TRON: ARES, I want to savor the experience. So, instead of seeing it again right away, I will be watching ROOFMAN.
