After our Euro 96 win, UEFA make the strange decision to award Euro 2000 to Northern Ireland, despite their biggest stadium holding only 18,000! Midfielders Le Tissier and Gascoigne are rewarded after their great seasons with moves to Real Madrid. I will carry on for France 98!

Argentinian international forward who wore 9 1998-2000. Rodriguez scored both goals in the 1999 FA Cup final win, and the goal to stop relegation in 2000, sealing legend status!

Alfonso Pérez Muñoz
The most expensive player at the start of the game, £16m! Pérez was a member of the talented Betis squad which included Finidi, Jarni and Oli. Alfonso played twice for Spain at France 98 and was Spanish Player of the Year in 1997/98.
