For me, writing is learning. A number of concepts rattling around in my head as I try to understand how control points will compete with native AI tools: “running the business vs. doing the work,” hero users, engagement as a control point, the convergence to a system of action.

We wrote the Vertical SaaS Knowledge Project to share the full potential of what a vertical SaaS company can be. “Control point,” “integrate and surround,” “extend through the value chain,” “industry ledger”-- heady concepts. Aspirational but rare!. So it’s not surprising that.
