Most of these are very good movies, but I’ll absolutely never understand the hate for CODA.

A Live Action 'ZOOTOPIA' remake is reportedly in early development at Disney. Disney is planning on shooting it in a style similar to the live-action remake of 'THE LION KING'. (Source: https://t.co/mvofQRBmmk)

Not that crazy considering Marilyn was one of the biggest stars of the time, starring In almost 30 films. Dean was a relative unknown. He completed three movies in the span of two years — only one of which released before his early death (arguably the catalyst behind his fame).

Fucking INSANE article from a “TV critic” who has actively avoided watching one of the most historically important pieces of media ever made because of *reasons*
Variety's TV critic, who has never seen an episode of “Friends,” checked out the eight newly released, previously unaired episodes of its spinoff “Joey” and found them terrible. She says the show is packed with dull characters, stale jokes and outdated storylines. With nonstop

I’ve seen unprecedented love for classic cinema lately. Young film fans slowly discovering early classics thanks to the likes of Criterion etc. Again sharing my @letterboxd list of amazing, accessible gateway classics for those starting to dip their toes!

True fans realised (and embraced) this a while ago 😌
#ToyStory5 director Andrew Stanton defends making a fifth movie. “So ‘3’ was the end… of the Andy years. Nobody’s being robbed of their trilogy. They can have that and never watch another if they don’t want to. But I’ve always loved how this world allows us to embrace time and

This is like seeing Sinners in 70mm or whatever. You haven’t really seen Freakier Friday until you’ve seen it the way it was always intended.

The court found that as Kane (along with a number of other stars at the time — see: Clara Bow) had stolen the act from Esther, she had no case. Esther didn’t appear in court, because no one could find her. She was rumored to be in France and uninterested in appearing.

None of these photos are of “Baby Esther” — no known photos of her exist. She didn’t directly influence Betty Boop, but influenced Helen Kane, a white performer who Betty Boop was a parody of. It was Kane who sued the Fleischers (unsuccessfully), not Esther.
Did you know The real Betty Boop was inspired by a Black Harlem jazz singer named Esther Jones. Ever heard of “Baby Esther”? She later sued the cartoonist but the court threw out the case and she was never compensated! A THREAD

Movie tie-in covers are always ghastly... but at the end of the day it's just marketing and the text remains the same. If this gets more people to read the book or introduced to Emily Brontë, so what?
