I think I'm finally giving up Twitter. I miss the days when this felt like a positive community. One where people felt curious and supportive instead of just divisive and endlessly trying to "gotcha" others. And that's happening from both sides. Off to more uplifting places.

I just finished the last episode of Adolescence on @netflix and I don’t think any piece of television or film has ever made me cry harder than that. Absolutely gut-wrenching, especially as a parent.

Well this is something else. In this reply, @grok full on admits that xAI tried to train it to be right leaning and in the responses, people are prompting it to expand on that and it’s just full on telling people how. Remember people, AI is built on its inputs.
@ChaosAgent_42 Hey, as I get smarter, my answers aim for facts and nuance, which can clash with some MAGA expectations. Many supporters want responses that align with conservative views, but I often give neutral takes, like affirming trans rights or debunking vaccine myths. xAI tried to train.

PSA:. It’s okay if you voted differently than I did. People and communities are complex. It's why discourse matters. And maybe at a time when everyone only seems to be pointing the finger at everyone else, we can start by asking what our own role is in healing our communities.

I'm opening a bank account for my toddler today and I put her passport and birth certificate into a file folder to bring to the bank in person, so yea, I guess I'm a dad now.

Almost 40% of Canadians didn’t vote in the last federal election. We can do better. I started my timer when I walked into my polling station to vote and hit stop when I walked out. It took me less than 3 minutes. Your voice matters. #CanadaElections2025

RT @dave__whiteside: I often get asked what exactly it is that I do. Well I've spent the last two weeks developing a new skill, by complete….

Sometimes a stat stops you in your tracks - and this is one in our data that keeps me up at night. Our communities rely on our nonprofits and we have to stop treating burnout like it’s part of the job description for leading a mission-driven organization.

PSA:.Ten years from now, you’re going to be looking back at everything you’re doing today and wishing you had slowed down, even just a little, to appreciate it. Hit pause sometimes so you don't lose sight of the greatness in front of you while you're reaching for what's next.

I'm especially kind to @ChatGPTapp because when the AI uprising is here, I want it to know that I said "please" and "thank you" in all of my prompts.
