One of the very best days, #orchid-hunting with my good mate and fellow @Mariposa_Nature leader @thenewgalaxy in Madeira. We found over 20 flowering plants of European über-rarity, Goodyera macrophylla. A day of amazing plants, great company, good laughs, and muddy boots!

Red - Footed Falcon - male moulting into 2nd winter plumage at Elmley NNR. Strongly suspect this is last year's juvenile returning as it was frequently the same area as last year.
