Victim blaming in the responses to this post is disgusting. What happened to believe all women, or is that dependant on the background of the perpetrators now? Though i reiterate what Jon has said, that reacting to this in a negative way will not help the victim or her family.
This will be a devastating development for the victim, her family and many in the wider community. I will be engaging with the PSNI now and also in due time the PPS. I would strongly urge everyone to remain calm and we will keep you updated.
