To understand the zeitgeist, you need to be watchful. You need to read the news, visit art galleries, watch movies, read books, travel, and talk to people. A lot. It's easy to dismiss things you don't understand, yet that exact thing might be the missing puzzle you need.

Understanding the zeitgeist gets you closer to finding the balance between what you want vs what is needed, increasing your chances to be happier. For example, if you understand the zeitgeist, you will not look for a career in coal mining, truck driving, or warehouse picking.

It literally affects how we produce and consume products and ideas, and in my opinion, directly impacts one's quest for a meaningful life. Today, a lot of people are quitting their jobs because they are not happy, only to find out that they don't know what makes them happy.

Today we can observe how decentralisation, metaverse, cancel culture, the new ethics, etc. are shaping the world we live in. This is not just something you just discuss over a glass of wine with your friends and agree or disagree. It's the zeitgeist of '20s.

For example, the 1960s were a zeitgeist of anti-establishment values and alternative philosophies, an age of counter-culture, hippies, and yippies. Btw, 'yippies' were members of a political called The Youth International Party, the Greta Thunberg's of the time, kind of.

Based on my observations, those who live a life full of joy and fulfilment are those who understand the zeitgeist and ride the wave. Zeitgeist is sort of an invisible force that dominates a given period of time.

This is not about mindfulness, even though it might sound similar. Watchfulness refers to one's ability to observe and study what is going on in the world today, including politics, economics, arts & culture, technology, etc.

One of the most underrated skills that they don't teach you in schools. Watchfulness. The best way to predict the future is to observe the present, carefully and without judgment 🧵.

Rugged. Being rugged means swapping your ETH for a coin a shitcoin that goes to 0 and never returns. Example: “John got rugged. I kinda felt sorry for him.”.

GMI, NGMI, WGMI, WAGMI. Gonna make it, not gonna make it, we're gonna make it, we're all gonna make it. In crypto, obviously. Example: "Price goes up, WAGMI".

Boomerverse. Whatever Facebook is doing. Example: "Facebook is creating the boomerverse. LOL. NGMI".

Ser. A formal way to address your crypto comrades of any gender. "Dude", is for boomers. Example: "Ser, when moon".
