This level of evidence demonstrates that Group Arts activities can be as effective as other classes of behavioural (eg running) or pharmacological (eg anti depressants) interventions. The best part is, people like them.

Thirty-six studies investigated the impact of group arts interventions on depression (n = 3,360) and ten studies investigated anxiety (n = 949). Subgroup analyses showed that group arts were more effective for people in care homes than community settings.
