Personally, I'm tired of thank yous. I'm tired of donuts and mugs. We need radical change in our profession and our system and we need it yesterday. The American Education System is a national crisis and should be treated as such.

We need adequate mental health resources in schools so that students have a chance coming out of this. My state spent $90 million dollars on standardized testing when what we actually need are more counselors.

I know there will be many tears as we begin this school year. Tears of frustration, stress, anxiety, fear, feeling overwhelmed, but most of all tears of joy! The joy of seeing my kids again will be the biggest tears of all. Those are the tears I look forward to most!
