I don’t get all the hate for the Twitter 2.0 email, I’ve always done my best when working 80 hours a week for a man child who has no clear goals and screams “MORE HARDCORE” whenever a clarifying question is asked. That’s when I really thrive.

I was once asked to come back and work for a company that fired me, so I do have some sense of how certain Twitter engineers are feeling right now. I offered an absurdly high per-hour consultancy rate which the company declined. At least we BOTH ended up feeling insulted.

So I got ✨laid off✨ With this I’m LOOKING TO TRANSITION my career back to engineering I’m looking for MID LEVEL ENGINEERING roles. Who is hiring? Can start ASAP. Well versed in python, but dedicated to learning whatever I need to get the job done. RT to help a qirl out ❤️

Seeing all of the folks that I follow start to post their separate Mastadon links on different servers feels like high school graduation, watching all of my friends go to different jobs and colleges.

Unpopular opinion: Efficiency as a developer doesn’t mean to do things fast, it’s to do things properly so that the decisions we make today won’t slow us down in the future. Too many people thing you gotta write code as fast as one possibly can. I really don’t think so.

Today marks my two-year anniversary with @NetflixEng It’s been a season of many changes and many challenges, both personal and professional. Most days, I still love this - the hardest and most rewarding job I’ve ever had.
