Never go into management only as a way to climb the ladder. I love that they quickly recognized management wasn’t for them and shifted back to being an IC. Staying in management when you don’t want to be there will mess up the careers of the people that report to you.

If you manage people, you HAVE to be able to have uncomfortable conversations about performance. If you’re unwilling, you’re not only doing a disservice to the person that reports to you, but the entire team and those they interact with.

Things I'd want to change: . I love that Autonomous supplied a multi-plug outlet for under the desk as well as a compartment that can be opened easily with hand screws. However, I wish there were more plugs and having an outlet on top of the desk is much more convenient.

Things I love: .- The price!.- The curved edge makes resting my forearms on the desk more comfortable.- The remote pad is on the top of the desk, making more room for my chair arms.- Hooks to hang things on both sides of the desk.- Easy to setup in small space
