I can’t believe in California we just accept that 120 members of the state legislature represents roughly 39.5 million people. The assembly consists of only 80 members. If you do the math, that means 1 member of the assembly represents roughly 493,750 Californians!

Democrats have learned they have nothing really to fear from progressives because at the end of the day, Bernie will endorse the Democratic nominee no matter what and they will fall in line. The same is true of pro lifers with the Republican party. They can be taken for granted.
That is precisely because so many of them kept quiet in the face of every betrayal of their principles, from the change to the GOP platform onward. Trump knows they’ll fawn over trivial things (the occasional pro-life tweet) while caving on big things like abortion pills and IVF.
