@GCIMagazineGuy I don’t think any architect-past or present-denounced trees. They denounced the misuse of them.Wrong species.Too many. Poorly placed-hurting both turf & architecture. Hazards in the air v hazards on the ground with the latter being preferable One example 16 @TheAddingtonGC

One of the oldest golf photos in the world… And it happens to be of the Old Course in St. Andrews! Showing a golfer hitting towards the current 17th green (then 1st green), this photo was taken in the late 1840’s! Swilcan Bridge can be seen on the right edge. How old is this

Have you ever played @BroraGolfClub up in the Scottish Highlands? You’ll see sheep in bunkers like this. And electrical wire around EVERY green to stop the sheep and cattle from messing up our putts. Love it.
