Of course the latency will be a big issue here, so likely this will be a combination of the old-style controller + LLM giving high level commands once every 1s or so.

🤔 It seems like a relatively "simple" solution to self-driving-cars problem is to just fine-tune a multimodal LLM on camera frames. Then it can output the car commands as a plain text.

I mean this gradual migration will definitely get much more sign-ups than the instant one: "ok you are now in computer, we can shut you off".

Imagine you connect to the "computer brain" acting as a 3rd hemisphere, via similar interface as 2 hemispheres are connected. Once you form unified consciousness, you can gradually turn off your original hemisphere and "migrate" fully to CPU, thinking you are still you :).

This likely means that the consciousness (or the personal experience of it) can split and merge if there is information flow. Can be super useful for human-brain interfaces and transferring yourself into the "computer brain".

Then after the surgery we end up with 2 people, each thinking they have the same continuous consciousness since birth, with same memories, and ambitions.
