This is a similar arrangement to that which I reported last week Nine had pitched to the AFL when those rights were last up for grabs. Broadcasters understandably think there's big benefits in consolidating the numbers of rights holders.
Rothfield: Channel 9 is poised to make an all-out multibillion-dollar bid to televise all nine games in an 18-team competition in the next NRL broadcast deal. The plan is to cover three games each week on free-to-air television and the other six on Stan’s pay-per-view platform.

Finally got round to a Swans game with @PollyPorridge. We have established that Goodsir is a real surname, that Bloods fans > Swans fans, and that the lacklustre crowd tonight can be safely attributed to the upcoming EOFY. It was cold at the SCG but it’s always snowing at KPMG.
Also got to watch the game with @daanysaeed, one of the few neutrals I’ll accept 😂.
