Beautiful story. Thanks @Jimfrombaseball. Teammates = brothers. Baseball’s the best.
"I remembered when a guy gets knocked out you got to grab him by the back of the jaw and with your fingers pop it open". Willie Horton saved Al Kaline's life during a game in Milwaukee against the Brewers on May 30, 1970. The bases were loaded in a 2-2 tie when Brewers infielder

Saw him in concert a long time ago. Smoother than silk.
George Benson - Give Me the Night (1980). Perfect classic for summer nights! Say it every time but still think the video's "cool" 45 years later! Produced by Quincy Jones & written by Rod Temperton, Patti Austin is featured on backing vocals. A #1 hit on the R&B Chart. #Legend

Bobby Murcer is my 2nd favorite Yankee of all time (behind Roy White). Murcer was a good player who, though not big, had enough pop in his bat to hit 252 career HRs. For this game he homered off of Dennis Martinez & doubled to win the game off of Tippy Martinez.
Today In 1979: After delivering the eulogy at Thurman Munson's funeral in Ohio, Bobby Murcer drives in all five runs of the New York #Yankees 5-4 comeback victory vs. the Baltimore #Orioles on a very emotional night at Yankee Stadium! #MLB #Baseball #History #RepBX

Went to University in the Bronx, sons played a lot of baseball there, have umpired many games there, have been to Arthur Ave, the Zoo, the Gardens, & Orchard Beach an uncountable number of times & the Bronx is & has always been “fly over country” for rich NYers. @ViralNewsNYC.
Bronx has fallen and taken over by gangs . The city has lost control over it and the media ignores it because it doesn't affect the rich friends like it did when Midtown was burning from gangs .

Thanks @KevG163 - Irv Cross (& Brent Musberger) were voices of my youth. And I got to appreciate Larry Wilson’s exploits all over again. Wotta player he was!! Thank you.

Maybe @notgaetti has reviewed this already - .While playing for the Brooklyn Robins in 1929 & 1930, Babe Herman had 217 & 242 hits, 42 & 48 2Bs, 21 & 35 HRs, 113 & 130 RBIs, & hit .381 & .393 & did not lead the NL in any category! The Robins did not become the Dodgers until 1932.
