It's been a while but—*ahem*—some personal news. With so much gratitude, I’ll be stepping down as @city_bureau's co-leader & nat'l ED this summer. Helping to grow this org from a promising idea to a proven local news model has been a dream job 🧵.

I'd love to have an AI/AGI assist that just looks at any work things that I did during the day (emails, calls, docs) & summarizes it for me at the end of the day. No need to create anything new—just a high-level record of what I said/did. Does this already exist? @jeremycaplan

Here's a challenge for local civic newsrooms around the country—target an increase for everything in green over the next few years. This chart is based on a survey of 1,000 people in Chicago but my guess is that it's not unusual. Any plans to run this survey again @StephEdgerly?
