note: i don’t think it’s a bad game but it’s not great, it’s just average. what bugs me is it could be better from what i expect from bungie, but then again we aren’t dealing with halo and destiny 1 bungie. if things change i’ll 100% get it, but i won’t be buying on launch.
my thoughts on marathon: was apart of the first closed play test, truth be told i had a lot of fun. i’m a lover of extraction shooters and have put over 7k hours in tarkov alone. that being said, compared to tarkov and arc raiders this game is painfully mid. it’s not worth $40.

pros: - gunplay feels great - graphics and art style are very unique and cool - abilities are decently balanced enough - adding prox chat is a huge bonus - has so much lore on the backend that can be added later on - skins we’ve seen so far look cool enough that’s about it.

- not enough teams on the maps - not enough loot to actually fight over - no grittiness and teeth clenching moments - augments and she’ll mods are convoluted and flustering - UI kinda sucks - default character models look flat (probably to sell microtransactions)

what i find wrong with the game: - everything is so spread out with uninteresting POI’s - not enough action to fill the gaps - the lore isn’t balanced enough into the actual gameplay - movement is tight and snappy but overall bad (feels like halo reach mixed with apex gunplay)
