Anyone can run a marathon without training (albeit slowly). It takes an animal to get up every day and put in the work. I’m not impressed if you ran without training. I’d rather train and go out burning than take a shortcut.
The whole trend of "I ran a marathon without training" is a resurgence of millennial-esque detachment. A move for heckin' runnerinos. Embrace the vulnerability of training for something and putting effort in.

“The Office” - the two hours per day where I’m most productive happen to be on a commuter train into/out of NYC every day. You don’t need an optimal desk setup or productive timer to make an impact. Just some grit and a laptop.
